"a friend."* its his first time living okay? oh superman you make me ill you are the sweetest ever, he was literally just born!! him and his comically large glasses to conceal his identity..... clark kent is genuinely the most comically made person ever because is there a single thought behind his eyes? does he know hes real?? "when the first superman movie came out, the most frequently asked question was... 'what is a hero?' my answer was a hero is someone who commits a courageous action without considering the consequences..." oh christopher reeve you will always be famous, you will forever be remembered as superman. no matter how bad the special effects are and green screening and literally half of the movie was it is so beautiful and so important to me, I love how christopher reeve plays clark kent and superman so differently, differentiating them from each other. "now my definition is completely different. I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure, in spite of overwhelming obstacles." one of the main things I took from this movie is that everyone throughout the movie tried to isolate superman, make him feel inhumane, different. he was isolated from the moment he was born. his biological parents may be his biological parents, but they aren't who raised him; they aren't who taught him what it is to be human. the first impression we got of supermans parents is that they look down on the people of earth, and immediately call superman or ka-el different. "It is forbidden for you to interfere with human history. rather, let your leadership stir others to." one of the most humane things superman could've done was interfere with human history. lois originally dying and he completely goes against his father's warnings, interfering with human history. this is what proves he is human because if we had powers, how could we resist? lex luthor ripping his wig off to reveal his identity had to be the highlight of this film, why was lex luthor the funniest person in this whole movie fuck is his issue!
