Zodiac
"just because you can't prove it doesn't mean it isn't true."
I feel like going into this film you have to have very little knowledge on the zodiac or know the whole case off by heart to really enjoy it; either knowing the case was never solved or not knowing at all.
this film was genuinely so informative, had amazing colouring and cinematography and the most promising suspects, the fact that its 2 hours and 42 minutes is unbelievable because it did not feel that long, the cast is absolutely amazing, all great actors, oh mark ruffalo (#myhulk), robert downey jr, jake gyllenhaal.
I am still not over the colouring, the slight tinge of yellow sets the haunting mood of this narrative, as well as also some kind of warmth.
"the last time I saw this face was july 4th, 1969. I am very sure that's the man who shot me."
I have genuinely never been more horrified than the basement scene, tell me why that whole scene was the scariest shit I have seen in a while. "mr graysmith, I do the posters myself." and "not many people have basements in california" and when he turned the light off and the door was locked? absolutely not.
oh jake gyllenhaal you keep eating those cookies, drawing your cartoons, going through trash and hanging around desks.
