Predator 2

“Shit happens.”  I am normally pretty picky when it comes to sci-fi flicks. If it isn’t superhero related then it’s pretty much a 50/50 chance I’ll enjoy it. Usually I’ll know beforehand whether or not it’s my cup of tea, and I’m almost always right. In this case I knew I was interested in the Predator franchise from the get go and I was right. The first film started out slow and was an okay film, but this sequel caught my attention much quicker like I had thought it would.  The world building and lore implications were incredibly fascinating. Of course now most people know the basics about the Yautja, but at the time of its release I’ll bet the ending of this film was so cool. The group of additional Predators, the skulls on the wall (especially the Xenomorph for those who recognized it), and the customs of the Yautja shown in the ending. Including the scene of the predator sparing the pregnant woman. All of these things are what draw me in to this franchise. I’ve been wanting to watch these films for so long and I’m glad to finally get to it. The Yautja are so awesome as a species and as antagonists!!!
