This movie completely destroyed me. I saw it yesterday and I'm still reeling from what happened. At first you think, "Oh, just a movie about two friends, how cute," NO, this movie shatters you completely, head to toe. Every time I watch it, I'm in complete shock for about two hours. It's a very good movie, with incredible acting, fantastic cinematography, and all that stuff. This movie is NOT about romance; it's a social critique of a society that imposes "limits," in this case, a friendship, almost like brothers. I dk if it's more than that, but if it is, what's the problem? Their friendship was incredible, sweet, light, funny, and affectionate, until the questions came, the fear of not being accepted by anyone, the frustration of gossip about him. It's a film that portrays our reality; I've experienced something similar, and I identify so much with both Remi and Leo. It's a horrible thing, cuz I'm the problem that has problems because of the problem, anyway. One thing that left me speechless was the details, both the colors and the silence after Remi died. This portrays grief very well as it truly is, and imagine Leo growing up with this guilt of "killing" his best friend. This film is pure depression.
