Practical Magic
SOOO FUN
Possibly the best movie I've watched in a long time. I think Hallet is in my top 5 fictional men.
I wished for you too
I DIED. DECEASED. He's so fine. The lead cast of this movie is hot but I feel the need to place special emphasis on Hallets character because I would sell my soul for him.
One of the greatest things about this film was the character development and how the characters were deeply flawed but it wasn't necessarily presented as a weakness. Theres such a beautiful tapestry of characters in terms of energy in how Sally yearns for normalcy whereas on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Gillian strays away from that mostly making decisions based on impulse. And the aunts just add eccentricity to it all.
Also the way that fate was presented in this film- TO DIE FOR.
Casting director needs a huge raise because Camilla belle as a younger version of Sandra bullock's character made SO much sense. And Nicole Kidman smoking throughout the entire movie was hot.
Also this is entirely unrelated but Jimmy angelov is presented as this disgusting abusive rebellious man and Gillian is drawn to him. And I can't help but think of Ultraviolence - Lana del Rey. Throughout the album she constantly references an abusive figure by the name of Jim and she shares a basic personality with Gillian.
Lastly, ending my review by saying the set was amazing in the way that the house was specially built and torn down after filming. Everything down to the flowers was fake and the production had crazy rumours about actually being cursed (the director hired a real witch as a consultant and then she demanded a large percentage of the movies profits which they obviously didn't give her).
This was actually so fun rotten tomatoes sucks for giving this a 24%.
