“More Than Meets The Eye” Everything I could have possibly wanted and more. The origin of it all. The dynamic of Orion and D was fun and built up to the drastic change at the end. This movie is by far one of my favorite transformers movies of all time. It takes things we as fans already know, and creates its own beautiful world. The background work is stunning, the action scenes are well choreographed, and there is a lot of good writing overall. This movie really hit me in the feels. It’s a perfect origin story that only makes you love Optimus and Megatron more. I grew up with Transformers and loved the original tv show and the movie from the 80s, Beast Wars, and Armada. The references especially to G1 I loved the most. The production crew were true Transformers fans and understood the source material completely to a tee. In most transformers media, we see very little about the early years of cybertron. This movie takes place long before the cybertronian civil war between the autobots and decepticons and shows the planet in a way we’ve really never seen before. The movie goes in depth on the origins of cybertron, Primus, and the 13 primes in a way that’s easily understandable right off the bat and is really, really cool. The characters in this film are excellent. I was skeptical about the casting at first, but every single actor really blew it out of the park This is definitely one of my favourites and I will rewatch it countless times. I can’t wait to see what they do for the sequels.
