Hamnet
I would have given this 5 stars just for final scene at the play.
Jessie Buckley will get that oscar
If Michael B Jordan get nominated for his Sinner's performance, How the fuck does Paul Mescal not even get nominated (there is said it!)
Even the kids in this movie out on amazing performances, I mean this in the best way, when I say that Emily Watson was underused with the way these other actors perform.
This movie flows in a very poetic manner, shifting from. Scene to scene in a very deliberate manner, give each emotion that the character goes through, a weight and impact. While the pacing of the movie was slow, which is not the problem for me. I think this movie really executes the finale very well, the culmination of years of struggle in the characters relationship between Agnes and William, heighted by the loss of their child reaches this climax that addresses all those aspects gives that catharsis to the characters, while also humanising them.
This is probably on the best strongest endings to a movie that I have watched. I think watching this in the theatre is the only right way.
