Tenet
-Short Review-
“We live in a twilight world”
TENET is not like Nolan’s other films, it’s a non-stop/breathtaking action that starts from the beginning till the end, with a classic twist at the end.Pros:1) Experiencing the sounds in IMAX is Phenomenal, and Ludwig Göransson work is great and gave the action scenes different taste.2) Cinematography was as great as any Christopher Nolan film, but the choice of the colors was amazing and beautiful to watch.3) First time I heard that Nolan will use real VFX, I knew that there will be many unforgettable Action scenes, and there was many of them but sadly the big ones were in the trailer.Cons:1) Elizabeth Debicki was the only one who gave us dramatic scenes, and I felt that the others were just doing their jobs and didn’t showed us everything they had.2) The exaggeration in providing scientific info pushed me away a little from the film atmosphere and kept thinking of what does it mean (Maybe this issue will be gone in the second or the third rewatch).3) Although the sounds were great, but some scenes I felt that they used unnecessary loud sounds, like in the Firefighter truck scene.
Overall, TENET is a must watch film in 2020, yet it’s not a masterpiece but a decent film that I think will only be in the Tech categories in the Oscars or the other film festivals (except for the BAFTA’S).
