Been a fan of these brothers since their YouTube days and for their debut into film they crushed it. The story off the bat was magnetic and they captured the spirit of teens. There wasn’t an absurd amount of current lingo or cringe teenager stuff, instead we see the characters use Snapchat in a natural way and get addicted to the hand. This is something that would totally happen and it’s very natural.  I also want to praise their use of gore. There is something distinct about it and maybe it’s just a me thing, but gore in this movie sent shivers down my spine. It has weight and consequence behind it, and I’m not the Squamish type either, but some scenes had me clenching my teeth.
