90s horrors all week to bring in the first week of October.
On first watch Ringu is a very well made horror movie. I didn’t think it was all that scary. Though there was an immense sense of dread and tragedy all throughout the movie that I haven’t felt in the last few horror movies I seen. The actual scares were just too far in between for me. I did enjoy seeing Hiroyuki Sanada (Scorpion) from MK in this, decent acting from everyone here. I did feel like Scary Movie 3 might have ruined this for me, I couldn’t help but think of Brenda whooping her ass when she came out of the TV.. “Cindy your TV’s leaking” haha this film has a really solid ending as well it’s so twisted.
