Obsession
An incredibly eerie, gross and creepy movie that I’ve been really keen on watching.
The acting’s outstanding. That’s what sticks out the most. Inde Navarette deserves awards for a performance like this. It literally carried the film and wouldn’t be so good without the level of performance we got.
It gives you literal chills and goosebumps with some of the scenes. A few solid jump-scares and plenty of creepy scenes. The movie was surprisingly really funny too, it gave a similar feeling to weapons but more intense. I really liked how it remained a serious movie despite funny moments even in the climax. I’m very glad I had a good crowd, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed it too
I really enjoyed the plot of this movie, the writing was peak, and so was the detailing. I really liked the directional perspective that was expressed, it gave a fresh vibe to the horror/thriller genres.
There were moments where the editing is what made it better. The dark silhouette scenes, the glowing eyes, the morphed scream. Everything was so well put together. And Thank God the ending was satisfying.
This movie made me a fan of Curry Barker as a director. I’m so excited to see much more from him, especially his new movie with A24. But I’m more excited to see the “One Wish Willow” universe expand and become more of a thing because of how fresh of a concept this was.
