Gia
i rotted so much for Gia that I had absurdly high hopes for her to stay sober and build a life with Linda, the ending was cruel yet wholesome, and although it's wrong, it feels right, we saw it coming throughout the movie.
And this made me realize how painful it is to find yourself in a situation like this, where something that looks so harmless can destroy families. Bad influences and addictions seem to be stronger than the love and comfort from those who are by your side. The people who find themselves in this position are vulnerable and easy to manipulate, and I feel that like as a society, we might have failed them, not because we give up on them, but because we don't take the time to understand their heart.
