Blade Runner
Again. Rewatch and I love it much more. Seeing this on the big screen is really just something. Harrison Ford is arguably at his coolest/best (Raiders still takes the cake I think). The chase sequences in this movie have to be some of my favorites of all time. This movie looks insane. I mean just based upon looks, you change the location and this could be a noir from the 40s. In fact, is this just a Noir movie but you add commentary on humanity and technology, a vangelis score, and the semifuturistic city? They still use pay phones, the cars look old, they read newspapers. Sean Young’s hair and outfits could put her in any 40s crime movie. I don’t mean to say this to diminish anything. My only true critique is that cringeworthy scene where Deckard basically traps Rachel and asks her to beg for him. That still doesn’t sit right, but it doesn’t make this movie not bang. Also shoutout Jordan Cronenworth. This movie is captured near perfectly
