The Shining

This movie is truly amazing, and I think it might just be even better on the second watch. Jack Nicholson is truly terrifying in this, an amazing performance from him, as well as from Shelly Duvall. Kubrick’s storytelling is just perfect. Jack Nicholson’s unsettling glances to the camera works greatly to make the viewer uncomfortable. The tracking shots of Jack hitting the doors with the axe were filmed so well, they look really cool. Danny’s probably one of the smartest kids in all of film history tbh. I’ll never forget the chills the ending gives you.
