Do the Right Thing

The first film that I watched for my film class, and wow what a masterpiece. Front to back this is widely entertaining and provocative in all the best ways. The way this film challenges the viewer is what any movie focusing on racial commentary ought to do. It has so many layers that each of the characters add to the overall message. From Sal's suppressed racism to the conflicting mentalities of Malcom X to Martin Luther King Jr. portrayed through character like Da Mayor and Buggin Out. This film seems endlessly rewatchable and forces reflection from truly all viewers of any race.
