Trap
I don’t know how to feel about this movie
I liked aspects of it. I almost think it could’ve been interesting to write it with us following the wife’s perspective from the beginning. Because when he’s in the kitchen with his wife, they’re having the conversation of all the hints she saw- I kept thinking I’d rather have seen those scenes and see the tension build rather than have them retroactively describe all these tense moments that happened before the time period of the film in order for the plot to work. The concert thing could’ve been skipped altogether. Although I did love Lady Raven. I loved that she was clever and not just another trope of the vapid young popstar. I think it had so much potential to be a tense thriller but it just had too many plot points to fit in to let any of the suspense actually build. It wanted to be Gone Girl tension but with the pacing of an Bourne type action movie.
