Annihilation

Alex Garland goes three for three for me, and Annihilation is by far his best movie. It instantly became one of my all time favorites. This film is insanely good. This is so beautiful and visually stunning, every scene filled with unbelievable cinematography. It is deep and psychological. The film explores life, death, self destruction and growth in such a haunting and powerful way. Natalie Portman delivers powerful and deeply emotional performance also seeing the story unfold through her eyes makes the whole journey even more haunting. When the movie ended I was left with this weird mix of awe and confusion and I was tryna process what I had seen. It's definitely not a easy movie to watch but that makes the movie so special. Annihilation really stayed with me and the more I think about it the more I love it.
