Look Back

i loved this more bcs i am a massive fan of fujimoto’s work, and this is a very faithful adaptation of look back. i still think the manga is more effective despite this because of the meta element of it being about writing manga, and i’m genuinely surprised why goodbye eri wasn’t adapted instead since it’s about movies. however the art direction is gorgeous and i recommend this to any artist or fujimoto fan who ever felt things like inadequacy towards your work. btw there’s a theory this is based on a true story bcs fujino and kyomoto are combined to make fujimoto but i sincerely hope this isn’t true. foamed at the mouth when they showed a hospital exploding, 10/10.
