oh al pacino, how can you impress me even MORE every single time that i saw you in the screen? Wow. Let’s start there, the acting of al pacino uff is just amazing (as always) how he can manage his cuban english accent so well, fun fact: at the shooting, pacino didn’t let anyone to talk him in english, just spanish.
Micheal Corleone would’ve HATED Tony Montana as much as I do.
Now, this film is about that “american dream” turned into a nightmare. A man who comes from nothing and builds an empire on blood, drugs, and raw ambition. It’s loud, violent, excessive, and completely unforgettable. The rise is thrilling, the fall is brutal. Tony becomes a really bad person, he forgot everything he went through in the second he got money, maybe he wasn’t an alcoholic or drug addicted, but he was obsessed with money, that’s the worst ones.
Not subtle, but that’s the point.“-Say hello to my little friend!” has never hit harder.
Tony was nobody, then, everyone knew his name. The world is yours, montana. Once he started, he couldn’t stop. He ended up drowning in money, yes, but also in his own blood. Is it worth rotting in money if you’re going to lose everything? having it “all” but nothing, only fear, resentment, emptiness. Oh, and money.

Unfortunately, stupid people didn’t understand Scarface. They idolize him as if he were admirable. What the film actually showed is that greed and ambition lead people to their downfall. That’s why this movie is great.
