Vertigo

We've all been there ladies, when he's in love with the idea of you... But that "idea" is the dead wife of his former college mate, who's "possessed" by the suicidal spirit of her great, great grandmother, amiright? Kim Novak, the woman that you were! The chicness exuding out of her is just something to inspire to, really. I love the aesthetic of this movie, the way the color red/green are used I've always found it so stricking. Everything in this movie is just perfect. But I gotta say, the way they handled the character of Midge I just didn't care for. Other than that, favorite Hitchcock so far. Also, none of this would've happened if Scottie -at his age- weren't chasing criminals from rooftop to rooftop and romancing unstable, married ladies who are clearly too young for him. * Also, *also: Justice for Midge!
