Aftersun

a story about a memory from a girl who went with his father to turkey to spend her summer holidays when she was eleven, remembered by her much-older-self who realizes she never knew who her father was as a person and what he was going through, blinded by her innocence. ngl, i spent more than half of the movie without knowing what was going on, just like sophie, but, as the end was getting closer, you are able to see glimpses of what is happening to calum and finally get what the movie is really about. as for the movie, i really loved it. the normality, the dialogues, both sophie and calum, the chemistry, the soundtrack. ending the movie with under pressure by queen and david bowie was a moment. i definitely have to watch it again to really grasp every tiny message it offers the viewer.
