Hamnet

2025 Ranked One of those movies that you simply cannot deny how great it truly is.  *I saw this over the summer so you cannot imagine how hard it is to close my mouth about this. * I will sound like a broken record like the rest of the world, but Jessie Buckley is on another level in this film. Clear Best Actress winner for sure. It’s quite literally one of the best performances ever. Honestly that’s an understatement, but you can see for yourself. This is really the major reason that this movie is so great and all the praise she has been getting is completely deserved.  The movie itself is perfect to me as well. Mescal is excellent in this film as well as Shakespeare and his arc comes full circle. I also can’t stress enough that this movie is a true tragedy. It is excellent, but you will not leave happy. One of the saddest movies I’ve ever seen, but phenomenal.  This movie is so not my style or type at all, but I absolutely love it and think it is deserving of no less than 5/5. Also, Steven Spielberg is the producer of this film, which has not been recognized nearly enough. If you are a theater kid this will be the best movie of all time to you.  I can’t wait to see how this does awards season and I think this year has been absolutely amazing for movies, but unfortunately… Paul Thomas Anderson made one of the best movie ever. We will see tho, I would love for HAMNET to pull out some awards and I absolutely believe it will
