Before Midnight

I love the way the relationship between these two characters evolved in the span of 27 years. A magical meeting in 1994, a hopeful reencounter in 2003 and finally, true love in 2012. And when I say true love I mean the one that endures time and hardships, like a real relationship develops through time, it isn't perfect, but it is true. The movie is no longer about them walking around getting to know each other, talking about their hopes and dreams, the fact is, there is a lot of time they spend apart, showing the distance time has created between them. This doesn't mean it isn't beautiful, because it is, the beauty of true love, of two people staying together in spite of everything that pulls them apart. I believe Before Midnight is a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy, even if each one of the films stand out on its own, together they are one of the greatest portrayals of love in film history.
