Before Sunset
At some point in the beginning Jesse says: "I wrote this whole fictional version where you actually do show up". Considering Linklater wrote the first film inspired by a real life experience of his, in a way this sequel is him writing a fictional version where he finds her again, it's like a love letter to that woman who inspired him.
The fact that Céline says: "Now that we met again we can change the memory of that December 16, it no longer has that sad ending of us never seeing each other again". To which Jesse replies: "You're right. I guess a memory is never finished as long as you are alive".
This whole dialogue between them has a completely new meaning once you add some context about the woman who inspired this story, she died before even the first movie was released, Linklater didn't know about this until 2010 when a friend of hers connected the dots and reached out to him. Which means, Linklater unknowingly kept her memory alive even after she was gone, it is sad and beautiful at the same time.
About the movie itself I have nothing to say, it's as wonderful as the first one, so if you enjoyed Before Sunrise, you probably are going to enjoy this one too.
