Hereditary

Okay nah fuck it I dropped this down to 4 1/2 stars because I’ve seen that many great horror films and chillers lately that I thought maybe I’d overrated it upon my first few viewings... but I went back to it today and it’s every bit the masterpiece I remembered it to be. Far far far better than Midsommar and the only modern western horror that can hold a candle to it that comes to mind is the Babadook (and maybe the Lighthouse if you consider that a horror).
