Hamnet

"I will be brave." I've never rewatched a movie in theaters during its initial release, but I didn't feel I gave it enough attention the first time. I noticed and appreciated so much more on the rewatch. Jessie Buckley's performance was always phenomenal, even at the first watch. Her facial expressions, that expressive ass smirk, I can't explain it, but her non-verbal expressions conveyed just as much, if not more, emotion as her lines. It’s almost as if she expresses multiple emotions at any given instance. The last act rests heavily on Noah Jupe's performance, and he really locked this in as a great film for me. His scene with Jessie Buckley, though Twitter swears it's emotionally manipulative, works perfectly as an ending for not only Hamnet the film, but also Hamnet as a character.
