Perfect Days
I think it's pretty good. It's not an incredibly complex masterpiece, but it's a beautiful movie that lives from its simplicity, atmospehere and special moments. The way Hirayama sees everyday life through his eyes. He shows that you can and must see the positive even in difficult situations. The initial situation, a poor, 60-year-old toilet cleaner in Tokyo who lives alone, without friends or a wife, sounds very depressing at first. But the movie makes it clear that you can have such perfect days if you take the positives from what you are given. I particularly liked the idea of the tic-tac-toe and the contrasts that come together: young and old, with his niece or the coworker, and rich and poor, with him and his sister. I liked this movie.
