Over the Garden Wall

i was like what is this shit and then i quickly realized what this shit was and i was like oh wow this is MY shit.  But seriously. Over the Garden Wall is a majestical adventure, wrenched in wit and ominous playfulness. With its fabel-esque nature, watching this was a journey and at the same time i felt held by this movie/short-series. It told me everything was going to be okay without it having to be a cheesy “geared towards children” moral lesson.  Over the Garden Wall understands the abstract quality of a child’s imagination and tackles it with a maturity—- that isn’t lost on children or too cloying for a more subdued mind. Overall, it’s weird, it’s sad, it’s comforting — and i loved it.
