Before Sunset

there’s a moment in the car scene where she reaches to touch him and it’s noticeable, but just before that he does the same thing, and it’s so subtle you’ll miss it if you blink. sometimes my whole life feels like that moment, a kind of muted longing for something right in front of me but not quite getting there. i don’t know if i’ll ever get it.
