Pyaasa
I think I will be changing my top 4 movies in a couple days to add this movie there. First black-and-white Hindi film, and I'm...in depression. I don't think I'm gonna talk to anyone outside of uni for a couple days.
I've always believed that it's a blessing to have people who cry and feel bad about your passing. But the idea of people who didn't think of you as anything or even hated you crying over your passing just for monetary or social benefits is...scary.
Obviously I'm not as talented as Vijay nor have I been thru nearly similar experiences as him, I'm blessed to have the bestest parents and friends who support my decisions and help me when something's not working out, but I ended up crying whenever Vijay started singing. Every poem of his had something that connected with me and my past experiences (on a more dramatic scale ofc). Every scene, every poem, every character, every idea in this movie is so relevant to today's society not just on the basis of art, unemployment, and greed, but in many, many other aspects as well. I swear when I'm older and have more experiences I'll stop the movie in the middle cuz of how much it'll make me cry lol.
Man I can't get out of the trance, and I never will. I don't even know if I want to get out of this trance. I don't know wtf this movie did to me.
