Cure
"Who Are You ?"

This Is Peak Cinema. Cure Starts off as a typical whodunnit murder mystery genre movie but quickly delves into the identity crisis an individual goes through and lot of other Philosophical Subjects .There's a thin line that separates Our Personal And Professional Life. What if that line starts to Blur And We Are To Confront Our Real Self?
The Answer To This Question is portrayed in This Film In The Most Terrifying Way Possible. I Truly Consider This To Be The Magnum Opus Of Kiyoshi Kurosawa. The Society Crumbling By Itself To Find It's Identity And The Desire Of An Individual To Fit Into Society is Brilliantly Depicted Here.
"This Is As Best As Hopeless Cinema Can Get".
Atmosphere Of This Film Is Filled With Pure Pessimism, There's A Constant Feel Of Dread And Anxiety Throughout The Film. Every Conversation Between 2 Characters Feels So Meaningful And Essential.
It is Some Of The Best Dialogue Writing I've ever seen in a Film. The Deteriorating Journey Of People's Consciousness is Presented In The Most Sympathetic Yet Distorted Way Possible. Emotions that cannot easily be put into words is explained so genuinely in this Horrifying Masterpiece. I'm always attracted to a director's ability to create a hopeless environment and Kiyoshi Kurosawa does it with ease.
