Kill Bill: Vol. 2

I’m gonna kill bill. Volume 2. Kill bill 2 is genuinely amazing it’s acc a masterpiece and amongst my favorites of all time. While the action is toned down a bit from the insane first one the moments we get are golden because the dialogue has so much more room to shine making me care about budd Ellie and the man himself bill. The dialogue here is genuinely brilliant and accompanies the cool action perfectly while also being a major part of the film. I love LOVED the last 2 chapters here that was prob the best 90 min of Tarantino I have ever seen in my life. Ellie and I? ELIJE AND I HOLY SHIT! The last chapter especially was written really well between the final confrontation w bill and spoiler spoiler spoiler it was just so compelling and a perfect ending to a great duo-logy. It felt very inglorious basterds the way it was written with a big fat payoff and high intense stakes so it was really cool to see seeds for that being planted here. The only real issue I have is with Mai pei he looks stupid as shit and he doesn’t really do too much I wish his little segment of the film was cut down a bit as it didn’t feel necessary and took away from the brides story which I found really interesting. The score was great as well I wish truly wish Tarantino acc had more scores like this it adds so so so much to the often lengthy dialogue we see it here and hateful eight like quit being a dick about “the vision” and lock in. I loved the slower pace here to be honest it felt more character driven and had more heart to it while not sacrificing the quick feeling nature of it all. Overall amazing amazing film that I loved whole heartedly. This one acc felt like smashing my head through a beautiful painting.
