The Departed

The deehpaaarted might be the most engaging crime drama I’ve ever seen and def my favorite bwteeen goodfellas and this. The start was a little funky and the ending felt like a bit rushed but the large important chunk of the movie was really interesting. Every twist and turn was so fun to see and it felt like what trap should’ve been if that makes sense. Like trap did what it did well but it felt like  this one understood how to be smart about it all. And I actually really cared about these characters because each one of them was pretty cool. Jack Nicolas and Leonardo di caprio were both pretty good as well, mark whalberg I unfortunately cannot see in anything outside of ted and Matt Damon was a fun antagonist here as well. This movie was just fun I was scared at first that it would try to do some big huge plot twist as some point and mess it up or take away from the shenanigans that were going on but it played its cards pretty well I thought. The ending was also a little bit weird liek they were trying to do a lot but then again kt did have to tie up a lot of loose ends and it did them all serviceably but it definitely could’ve been a bit better. Like the pregnancy kinda went nowhere and I thought that could’ve been something but it was just thrown away. This one felt like a really cool fun rollercoaster the mouse trap ones specifically with a little bit of a tall climb and had unfortunately had a brake pulled at the last little bit.
