Superman

I have a lot of feelings about this movie and they’re mostly positive.  I was surprisingly excited for the film going into it. I’ve never been a huge DC fan but with the release of 2022’s ‘The Batman’ and the fact James Gunn is the director, I was extremely excited and I’m happy to say it didn’t disappoint.  I don’t know much about Superman as a character, I know his powers, his secret identity, a few of his villains and most importantly, what the character stands for. So it’s safe to say I’m not the characters biggest fan but after watching this film, I see why the character is so iconic. I think the film tackles a lot of issues that are extremely relevant to what is going on in the real world. I’ve seen some people disagree with this but for me, it’s clear as day and if that makes you uncomfortable, you really need to ask yourself why.  Although I do love that we’re thrown straight into a world that’s already lived in, I can understand for some people why that may be jarring even if it worked for me. There was some weird CGI in places but what superhero film hasn’t suffered from that recently?? Not a perfect film but definitely one the world needs right now
