I think this movie is good at showing how people with difficult home lives often use a hobbie or some other form of recreation as a way to escape, I have you have we all have met people like the cast in this and it’s just how life goes for a lot of people, stevie is way to young to have to deal with all the stuff he goes through in the movie but it’s true a lot of people go through what he goes through at his age. Life’s a bitch. Jonah hill who wrote and directed this did base this a lot on his experience growing up and skating but I think a lot of it is exaggerated which is… fair or else it would be a pretty shite movie. I smoke, I skate, I fuck bitches… I’m pretty much the shit
