The Thing

The Thing is a meticulously crafted horror film. This film is known as one of the all time greats for good reason! The paranoia is the best part about the film. You have an uneasy feeling from the beginning of the film, to even after the credits roll. Not only is Kurt Russel spectacular, but every single character is great. Practical effects is something this movie does the best out of anything I have seen! The Thing looks amazing, and disgusting at the same time. The almost robotic like movements make it feel more alien. I really dug the mystery at the first part, and when you couldn’t trust anyone or anything. The winter atmosphere was another amazing part of this film. And, the way it ended was sick. A flaw I did notice is the end of the second act was getting a bit repetitive. Barely noticeable though. But overall, an insanely great film. Definitely recommend!
