Hero

Another new favourite of mine. This film is incredible in what it achieved really with its story line. It's complex using colours to represent different sections in the story and the feelings felt along with it. The settings in this are incredible, especially the fight in the yellow ginkgo forest. With these, they just add so much more to the film. The fight sequences are solid too, jet li is so fast and fluid as well as the overall fights within this film It covers a wide range of themes and is successful in bringing them across to the viewer, it's a deep film. The characters are decently developed, but the story is more about the overarching themes I believe, yet still manage to have emotional depth. Moon of course is the favourite, yet again Ziyi plays this character so well.
