Wow seriously one of the greatest movies ever made and that is not an exaggeration. Is this the best depiction of real life in a movie ever? Yes dude holy fuck the way this took 12 years to film so we get to see the actors age in real time is FUCKING INCREDIBLE. The dialogue was absolutely perfect in giving context to what was going on after a time jump and the way you can literally see Mason’s speech with girls improve after using what his father told him is so amazing. How in the world did they get that homerun shot at the baseball game, there may or may not be a soulja boy jumpscare, and that school bathroom scene was the worst acting I’ve ever had to watch (my only complaint). I deadass wish this film kept going past its 2:45 hour runtime. I read a random review abt this movie a while back saying that after you finish it, looking back at the main poster will be like a slap in the face as we get reminded that we fr just saw a kid’s real entire youth right in front of our eyes and I can say that is absolutely fucking true
