Sinners

Sinners man this film is so magical. I loved the practical effects, especially the blood that reminds me of Kill Bill’s. There’s weight to the mess. No glossy CGI sheen. What I loved most though is how rooted it is in culture. The horror grows out of music, the costumes, the cinematography. It doesn’t feel like a generic genre movie. I hope we get to see more like this from Coogler!
