Pride & Prejudice

“we are all fools in love” i will never get tired of this movie. i think it’s so beautiful that elizabeth ultimately falls in love with darcy for the way that he treats the people that she loves. (this is a story about sisters first and foremost!!) jane austen wrote (imo) some of the most complex and interesting female characters of all time and it was literally 1796. her view of women, friendship, sisterhood, family and class are timeless and well represented in this movie. plus it’s stunning with a perfect score and keira knightly acts her bangs off.  moments from this movie i think about all of the time:  “your hands are cold” the way that matthew macfadyen stutters through “i love you”  the dress grab   pearls in elizabeth’s hair charlottes speech  mr bennet’s “you really do love him” and “i couldn’t have parted with you for anyone less worthy”  and ofc the hand flex
