Sinners

This is genuinely one of the best movies I’ve seen. Not just horror, it’s an amazing, perfect movie. - The acting is unmatched and the casting was perfect. This movie has you going in thinking “sick, a southern vampire horror with Michael B Jordan”- it’s so much more. It’s music, it’s culture, it’s history in a way. All of this hidden underneath the veil of “just a vampire movie”. The metaphor of the vampires in this movie is genius and Jack O’Connell does amazing in capturing the unsettling and very real undertones. - I also found myself crying at the ending and then again at the end-credit scene. This movie is one of my favorites and tops Mickey 17 (my og top pick of 2025 so far) over and over and over again. - There’s more I could say about the story but I feel like I can’t properly put it into words, you just have to watch it to understand.
