*film is a meditation for me.
*especially this one.
i remember how i watched it November 14th in 2021. it was the first art-house film i have discovered. i watched it with my beautiful mom; the person, who created the fundament for my artistic pursuits, who taught me to see through the surface. the film is about childhood, about family and how both have the biggest impact on us. writing this review, i would love myself to thank for my childhood, because now i see how everything was guiding me through the years (even when i had no idea it was) to where i am right now.
if to talk about this film itself and how i see it after the rewatch, then i want to return to the header. it was truly a meditation. and as a meditation, it was not fully comprehensible, but made to be understood by feelings. i didn't really understand how is it possible to "sense the sense" of a film, but now i do. the mistake i made watching it the first time is how i chose to cling to all of the stereotypes about such films, which inhibited the understanding, the process of connection and amalgamation with the film. i was desperately seeking meaning in every second, thinking, that the form of the clouds needs to have an immense value. however, as i suppose now, i should have relaxed and focused not on what some (not)random things meant, but shown. i used to ask questions like: "what's this shot for?", "what is this dialogue about?". now i guess the answer is... for nothing, about nothing. does every single thing in my own life has its deep meaning and purpose?:)
