This was such a fucking banger. I felt the pacing was a bit slow to start off, but that’s just because I was itching to get to the nitty-gritty. The cuts between perspectives work very nicely and they all get tied in together perfectly. It surprisingly didn’t feel jumpy or all over the place, it was very concise. The humor also somehow works seamlessly. This may be the funniest horror movie I’ve ever watched. How it’s possible for me to be pissing my pants from laughter one second to pissing my pants from fear the next shouldn’t even make sense, but somehow it does and I absolutely loved it. My biggest gripe with most horror movies nowadays is that they don’t know how to end them properly. They’ll have a great first two acts and then completely fall apart in the third. This film totally nails the ending in a way that not only wraps the story up perfectly, but also leaves you feeling fulfilled. My only nitpick would be that the “subtle hints” that are planted from the start of the movie are a bit too on the nose, but even still I couldn’t have predicted everything that was gonna happen. Once again, absolute banger.
