Moonlight

Ever since the infamous Oscars mishap in 2016, I’ve wanted to watch Moonlight. I had heard nothing but praise for it, but for some strange reason it sat at the top of my watchlist for months and months and I never got around to it. Until today.  Moonlight is a stunning potrayal of sexuality, identity and masculinity. It is one of the most real and impactful films I’ve ever watched. Every line of dialouge and ever shot is thoughtful and beautiful. Every single performance was powerful and impressive. I absolutely loved Chiron’s character arc and connected with him all the way through. Moonlight is an extremely important film that I think everyone needs to see. I found myself on the verge of tears during multiple scenes which is pretty rare for me. Moonlight is simply, *perfect.   *10/10 **
