Dune

i love this movie especially because of its beautiful score, use of color, and its storytelling. one of my favorite things i noticed on this watchthrough, though, is that when they're in the dark, the visuals shift to a greyscale, so there's almost no color. rather than actually making the screen too dark to see, dune gives the illusion of being in darkness (because of the change in color grading) while maintaining the visibility of the scene. also: timothee chalamet's back! zendaya! oscar isaac shirtless! much to wax poetic about.
