Satantango
On one hand this is an absolute masterclass of cinema in world building, character development, and making you feel like one of the character. But on the other hand it’s just too long and I like long movies. But this is super hard to sit through and enjoy every second. I give it a 4 star rating because of the genius behind it and it would be 5 stars if the movie wasn’t so slow.
Pros: World building, cinematography, genius showing of theme, ability to make the audience feel as if they’re in the film, and characters feeling greatly developed
