Wanted to watch Taste of Cherry by Kiarostami, couldn't find it anywhere to watch. Found a shady video titled completely in persian and asked my girlfriend about it, she said that it was the right film. Holy shit! I accidentally watched a wrong film without even knowing and I don't regret it at all, what a great film! I personally relate to the main character a lot

: Sci-fi films can't be philosophical, man! Tarkovsky: *aight bet! Humanity is only seeking a mirror to confront its own internal moral and emotional landscapes. No matter how far we go, man needs man and man searches for other man. We are alone, truly alone in this big cosmos because we can't communicate with other life forms because we are never bothering too look for something other than man. We are looking for a mirror, nothing else...*

Nostalgia, what a feeling right?

> *"What is praised today is abused tomorrow. They will forget you, me, everything."* What an artistic masterpiece! Had to rewatch some of the scenes to fully understand it's depth. As I grow old, I think this movie will grow inside my head too, becoming more and more clearer. The ending did a lot with less material at hand. No dialogue, just a reminder that true art never yields, it flourishes. Rublev's serene art was an explicit protest against the bloodshed of his era, and his strife againt all the evil in the world. The icons are the timeless, radiant remains of an otherwise brutal existence, brought up on by our fellow brethrens.
