to be honest when i found out the patriarchy wasn’t about horses i lost interest I love you Barbie. you mean everything to me. God, the weight of growing up. It wasn’t Barbie that set feminism back it was society. Barbie became weak, pink became weak. It wasn’t cool to be Barbie. She was a joke. Legally Blonde!! Pink was stupid. Barbie was everything and all these things but she still wasn’t (k)enough. Culture reset. It’s so much more than being a doll, being pink, being Barbie. It’s self-empowerment, it’s recognizing internalized misogyny, dismantling systems of patriarchy. We don’t have time to unpack all the nuances of inequality that exist within the Barbie’s. But at it’s core it was society, feminism, patriarchy, dismantling systems, loving yourself. I love women. I LOVE ALLAN! I love Barbie. I love me!
