this sucks… not in a bad way but just the whole vibe. It’s funny at times, bittersweet, beautiful, but most of all it’s just fucked up. I feel like with a movie like this it’s pretty hard to reach a satisfying conclusion. The message cannot be “yeah being a paramedic sucks don’t do it lol” but also it is pretty clear from everything that it DOES just fucking suck. Randy has panic attacks constantly, he has no friends, no breaks, no money, nothing. It’s one of those jobs where we need some peeps to take one for the team, become completely apathetic and just roll with it. And Randy can do that. The one movie this reminded me of was actually “orozco the embalmer”, because it’s about that same type of job i guess, the type where apathy about death becomes a gift. Also miss girl kinda sucked as doctor. who in the hell told this woman that going “OH MY GOD ARE YOU HAVING A HEART ATTACK?” to someone having a panic attack is a good idea???
