Lady Bird
This movie is one of the most heavy, yet hopeful movies I've ever seen. The way it deals with certain teenage themes and tropes is phenomenal, and it delicately jumps from plot point to plot point, always keeping the viewer attentive.
Laurie Metcalf is AMAZING. She gives one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen, and I think completely deserves Best Actress in a Supporting Role this year.
Saoirse Ronan is also fantastic. She really captures the angsty teen vibe and portrays it perfectly. I think she'll get nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and I sure hope she wins.
The writing is godly. It makes perfectly normal conversation look like perfectly normal conversation, which is one of my favourite things in movies.
I saw this bitch with my mom and was crying my eyes out. SEE IT WITH YOUR FAMILY!
Overall, a truly fantastic film. Very Oscar worthy, and you should see a Best Picture nom for Lady Bird. BEST FILM OF THE YEAR WOO!
